Bernice was born and raised in Utqiagvik. She acts as the communications waypoint between Quintillion, community members, local leadership, and residents of Utqiagvik. She has thirteen years’ experience leading various administrative and operating units in Anchorage and Utqiagvik, Alaska for Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation, UIC. With her Master of Business Administration from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Bernice has a career in her native corporation as Outreach and Engagement Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the Arctic.
Bernice is a subsistence hunter and provider. She joins her Oyagak whaling crew when it’s time to go whaling, and helps to feed thousands of people – mind, body, and soul. She currently resides in Anchorage with her wife and twin boys. Her passion includes fishing, hunting, camping, basketball, and creating works of art. Bernice says she is very excited to be a part of the Quintillion team and making peoples time at work as happy as possible.
